The West System 402 Milled Glass Fibre Blend is a high density filler which consisted of loose chopped glass and other fillers. It is designed for use on small semi-structural repairs, filling voids and small scale impact damage to glass fibre laminates.
This is often used to repair osmotic damage, including damage to dinghy rudders, centre boards and hard edge impact damage on samll sailboats.
- High density
- Strong & tough
- Durable & resilient
- Made of loose chopped glass and other fillers
To use the West System 402 Milled Glass Fibre Blend, simply mix it with your choice of West System epoxy resin to a ratio of approximately 25% by weight to create a thick paste. The paste can be easily held in place with PVC tape or peel ply to give a smooth finish.
The West System 409 Microsphere Blend is a low density filler which is designed to filling and fairing of fibreglass. Once mixed with resin, this creates a white, smooth cremy paste that is used for filling and fairing over fibre glass repairs. This can be used below the waterline, however must be protected by further coats of epoxy.
Apply the West System 409 Microsphere Blend to your choice of West System epoxy resin to a ratio of between 10% - 25% by weight, creating a smooth creamy paste which is extremely easy to sand once cured.
