The International Thinners No. 1 is the perfect solution for those few special situations where thinning is necessary. Paint can be thinned to improve the flow characteristics and to increase the ability to be absorb, however care should be taken to not exceed the maximum recommended radtio of thinner to paint, as it can adversely effect the product.

As a general rule, thinning is not normally necessary provided that the paint is properly mixed. However, if the paint is being applied to a low film thickness or if the paint has become too thick from something such as cold weather, then follow the datasheet on the product to obtain the required constitency most suitable for application.
