International One Up Primer & Undercoat
The International One Up is the perfect choice of primer or undercoat for international one-component finished and deck paints above the waterline. This simple, and yet effective primer / undercoat was designed to allow painting easier for everyone, especially DIYers, without compromising on aesthetic appearance or substrate protection.
The International One Up was designed to be easy to apply via brush and roller, and once dry is easy to sand too.

Previously Painted (good condition)
- Wash down with suitable detergent.
- Rinse with fresh water & allow to dry.
- Sand with 220-280 grade abrasive paper.
- Clean thoroughly & allow to dry.
Previously Painted (poor condition)
- Remove all previous coatings.
Bare Wood
- Sand smooth with 80-180 grade abrasive paper.
- Sand again using 280 grade abrasive paper.
- Remove sanding dust by brushing, dusting and wiping.
- If wiping with solvent, allow to dry completely.
Steel
- Degrease with solvent, International Super Cleaner or suitable liquid detergent.
- Gritblast to 2½ - near white metal surface.
- If gritblasting not possible, grind metal surface with 24-36 grit abrasive discs.
- Use an angle grinder on small areas.
- Clean thoroughly & allow to dry completely.
Aluminium
- Degrease with solvent, International Super Cleaner or suitable liquid detergent.
- Sand well using aluminium compatible 24-120 grade abrasive paper.
- Coarses grades are recommended to achieve optimum adhesion.
- Clean thoroughly & allow to dry completely.
Zinc / Galvanised Steel
- Degrease with solvent, International Super Cleaner or suitable liquid detergent.
- Sand well using 60-120 grade abrasive paper.
- Clean thoroughly & allow to dry completely.
GRP
- Degrease with solvent, International Super Cleaner or suitable liquid detergent.
- Sand well using 180-220 grade abrasive paper.
- Clean thoroughly and allow to dry completely.
