Repaint your deck with the International Interdeck Non-Slip Deck Paint which provides an excellent slip resistant finish to ensure maximum safety while also giving the deck a splash of colour to match your aesthetic. This paint was designed with safety in mind, so for an added touch International ensured the paint had a low sheen, semi-gloss finish to help prevent dazzling sunlight being reflected off the deck.
Interdeck is a tough polyurethane low sheen deck coating containing a fine mineral aggregate providing a hard wearing, slip resistant surface. It is easy to apply, by brush or roller, on all substrates. Follow the preperation instructions before use for best results.

Previously Painted (good condition)
- Wash down with International Super Cleaner.
- Rinse with fresh water & allow to dry.
- Abrade with 280-320 grade abrasive paper.
- Remove sanding dust by brushing, dusting and wiping.
Previously Painted (bad condition)
- Remove all previous coatings.
- Prime the substrate.
Bare Wood
- Sand smooth with 80-180 grade abrasive paper.
- Remove sanding dust by brushing, dusting and wiping.
- If wiping with solvent, allow to dry completely.
Steel
- Degrease with solvent or suitable detergent cleaner.
- Gritblast to 2½ - near white metal surface.
- If gritblasting is not possible, grind the surface with 24-36 grit abrasive discs.
- Use an angle grinder on small areas.
- Clean thoroughly & allow to dry.
- Pre-prime using a suitable international primer.
Aluminium
- Degrease with solvent or suitable detergent cleaner.
- Sand well using aluminium compatible 24-120 grade abrasive paper.
- Coarser grades are recommended for optimum adhesion.
- Clean thoroughly & allow to dry.
- Pre-prime using a suitable International Primer as soon as possible (within 8 hours).
GRP
- Degrease with solvent or suitable detergent cleaner.
- Sand well using 60-120 grade abrasive paper.
- Clean thoroughly and allow to dry.
- Pre-prime using a suitable International Primer.
Aged/Weathered Gelcoats
- Apply 3 coats of International Interprotect.
- Overcoat with International Perfection Undercoat.
It is recommended to apply 1 to 2 coats of International Interdeck Non-Slip Deck Paint at a DFT (Dry Film Thickness) of 50 microns per coat, or a WFT (Wet Film Thickness) of 93 microns per coat.
