The AIS version of the Icom IC-M510E VHF/DSC Marine Radio provides the user with the ability to see surrounding vessel traffic in real-time, while also being able to make DSC calls to other selected boats. This radio has a stylish and sleek design, enabling it to be suitable for both panel or trunnon mounting. The IC-M510E provides a nearly 180-degree viewing angle thanks to the wide TFT LED display, which has high resolution characters and function icons to ensure it's as clear and easy to use as possible. The screen has a night mode function to ensure good readibility, even in low light conditions to ensure you can always see the screen.
Every aspect and function of the Icom IC-M510E Marine Radio has been designed to make the radio easy to use and to provide the best user experience possible. The navigation function has been simplified since previous versions, without removing any functionality, as it guides you to a specified AIS target or one of your 100 assigned waypoints.

Firstly, download the iOS App or Andriod App. You can connect up to three smartphones to be used as wireless microphones or remote controllers instead of a COMMANDMIC. You can use the intercom function between your smartphone and the radio, however emergency DSC communications is not possible this app. The functions of the app are:

- Changing the operating channel
- Adjusting the squelch level
- Selecting the trasmit power
- Turning the Scan function on and off
- Turning the Dualwatch or Tri-watch on and off
- Talking in intercom mode
The AIS reciever gives you the ability to see surrounding vessel traffic in real-time and gives you the ability to be able to make individual DSC calls to other selected vessels.
