ACR MicroFix & ResQFix PLB Battery Replacement Service
Please note:This is a Return-to-Base battery service for the ACR MicroFix and ResQFix PLBs also referred to as PLB-300.
The battery change is carried out by our accredited sister company Spares Marine. The service includes full testing before and after the service where the 406MHz, 121.5MHz and GPS functionality are checked. The batteries, plastic and seals are all renewed. The old Battery Expiry Label will be replaced, showing the new Battery Expiry Date. Once the order has been received, Spares Marine will send you return address information. Or alternatively you can drop your PLB at one of our 4 Hampshire locations.
The Process
- Add this item to your basket and check out.
- Our accredited sister company, Spares Marine will contact you with the address to send your PLB to.
- Upon receipt, your PLB will receive a full inspection.
- Full testing of functionalities, including 406MHz, 121.5MHz and GPS.
- Batteries, plastic and seals are all renewed.
- Full testing of functionalities, including 406MHz, 121.5MHz and GPS.
- Old battery expiry label is replaced.
- Your PLB is then returned by Registered Mail
The turn-around for this servicing varies from as little as 24 hours, to up to 1 - 2 weeks. During off-season, the turn around is fast, so you won't be without your beacon for very long at all.
